Paignton Amateur Rowing Club undertook its newest type of rowing in 2010. Where Exmouth and Mayflower Offshore rowing clubs have set the trend, Paignton decided to jump on the bandwagon of offshore rowing. The FISA class rowing boat is much more suited to rougher water and hence Paignton is an ideal place for this type of rowing. The boat is much wider than the conventional skiff river boat but is rowed with the same sculling action. We bought our FISA quadruple scull in 2010 and christened her Wave Dancer.
